The LANDMAPPING interactive data visualisation project was developed by Cecil Treu and Cornelius Hirsch in cooperation with the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies e.V. (IASS), Seminar für Ländliche Entwicklung (SLE) and Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung (HBS). Financial Support was provided by SLE, HBS and IASS. Funding from IASS was granted in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Cecil Treu and Cornelius Hirsch were responsible for conceptualisation, data research and project planning. LANDMAPPING has been developed based on an idea by Felix von der Weppen and Cecil Treu. Manufaktur für Ungreifbares created the initial design which was further developed and coded by the media agency Sinnwerkstatt.

Database. The Land Matrix is a
global and independent land monitoring initiative that promotes
